After immigrating to the United States from South Korea, Dr. Andrew pursued a master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University and dedicated a decade to a medical corporate career. His transformative journey unfolded during a study abroad experience at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, where he discovered his true passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This revelation led Dr. Andrew to pursue and complete both a master’s and a doctorate in acupuncture, specializing in Chinese herbal medicine.
In his earlier professional life, Dr. Andrew collaborated with physicians at UC Irvine Medical Center, focusing on researching and acquiring cutting-edge medical devices and technology. This experience, combined with his upbringing with a physician father, provided him with a distinctive perspective on how modern medicine employs technology in treating health conditions. Dr. Andrew sees East Asian Medicine and acupuncture as complementary to Western medicine, addressing gaps in treating conditions lacking effective solutions.
Dr. Andrew’s extensive experience encompasses over 10,000 acupuncture treatments conducted at various clinics and during volunteer work in Mexico. Driven by evidence-based practices tailored to individual conditions, he specializes in achieving immediate and enduring results, particularly in the treatment of pain, stress, infertility, digestive issues, headaches, and challenging chronic conditions. Dr. Andrew is also a faculty lecturer at South Baylo University of Acupuncture and Herbology.
